The slide holder takes only 3 at a time so is a little tedious to use, but it does a great job scanning the slides. I used other software to edit the photos because I was more familiar with the program and was very satisfied with the results.

Poor Brightness adjustment, April 11, 2011

This review is from: Veho VFS-008 Smartfix Scan to SD Stand Alone Slide and Negative Scanner (35mm & 110mm) (Office Product)

Purchased to scan approximately 1600 110 negatives from J&R. Scanner is fairly well built and scans fine with one exception, all my scans come out rather dark requiring
I pull every single scan into provided software to lighten up. Incredibly tedious. Otherwise the color and contrast and detail are very good. Emailed Veho asking if way
to change the setpoint that scanner uses to adjust brightness and received no answer to either email. Also emailed J&R asking for suggestions or a way to batch adjust the scanned files
and received no response other than a automated email saying they would contact me. Unless you already plan on adjusting every picture you scan which I really did not need to, I would
avoid this unit. My experience is that both seller and manufacturer have poor customer service.

This is an easy to use quality SCANNER, not a CONVERTOR, for a reasonable price. I did not use the image software provided with the unit, but instead chose to use Photoshop. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to save their collection of old 35mm slides, or reprint scanned negatives of now faded prints.
